Printer Review

The Dell 1355cnw printer/copier/scanner did not provide good printing service.  It did not last an entire six months before entirely breaking down.

While it did print quickly and there were no problems with paper jams, the quality was not always acceptable.  The toner frequently would not adhere to the page properly and it went through toner cartridges very quickly and also was unable to accurately gauge the level of toner in the cartridges.  It would often demand a replacement cartridge just a few pages after that cartridge had been replaced.

Another annoyance was the grinding noise made while printing because the gears between the toner cartridges and the printer did not fit together properly and would slip past each other.  Toner can also be messy and the problems with the toner cartridges in this printer are enough to put one off toner entirely.

The scanner worked without problems though all scanning had to be initiated from the attached computer, not the scanner itself.

Over all, it is not a good printer for high volume printing, as in up to 250 pages a week.  I do not recommend this printer.
