The date for the Legacy Flight Museum’s annual air show has
been announced. June 16, 9:00 am to 1:00
pm. Admission is free; the show is
sponsored by several local businesses.
Schedule ahead and put it on your calendars now.
The Legacy Flight Museum preserves and flies vintage
airplanes mostly from the WWII era. It
was started by an aircraft enthusiast John Bagley in 2006. The planes can often be seen in the skies
over Rexburg. The museum is open Monday
through Saturday Memorial Day through Labor Day and Saturdays only Labor Day
through Memorial Day so that the public can see the planes up close.
The website declares, “Please come to the Legacy Flight
Museum and see all the planes that will be flying in the next air show. All of our warbirds are airworthy and we are
always busy doing maintenance, 100- hour inspections, and keeping them all
current with all the FAA air worthiness rules.
If you come at a time when the maintenance hangar is open it is always
fascinating to see the work going on there.”
